Seeing Ghosts at Home and Troublesome Dreams
For those who complain about seeing ghosts at night in their homes or having troublesome dreams, especially after reciting the customary invocations and verses of protection and still continue to see what they see, they should recite the verses of protection and increase them. These verses are called “verses of ta’awwudh” (seeking refuge).
1- “Allah has sealed over their hearts and their hearing, and over their vision is a veil.”
2- “And We have placed before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see.”
3- “And when you recite the Qur’an, We put between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter a concealed partition.”
4- “And when you mention your Lord alone in the Qur’an, they turn back in aversion.”
The practitioner can recite these verses before visiting the affected person, so that the jinn (evil spirit) will not know of their arrival and flee. They may also seek assistance from the devils in repelling the jinn.
